What’s the difference between Ethiopian, Casebound and Springback?

They are three different binding styles. The three of them open flat, and the Ethiopian is able to open 360º. Ethiopian and Casebound are more casual styles, while Springback is a more sturdy journal with an old style look.

 

What’s the difference between Tomoe River and Fedrigoni?

They are both fountain oen friendly papers, even though Tomoe River is considered one of the best papers to use with fountain pen. Fedrigoni is available in white and is 90 gsm, while Tomoe River is available in white and cream and is much thinner, only 52 gsm.

 

I’d like more bookmarks, no bookmarks, more ribs, no ribs,...

There is usually no problem. Contact me prior placing your order to make sure it is ok and then add the specifics in the customization box. There is no extra fee.

 

Can I add more pages?

Sure. Contact me before placing your order. An extra fee may apply.

 

Can I have a different size?

For Fedrigoni paper, yes, no problem. Contact me before placing your order.

For Tomoe River, the biggest size available is A5. However, if you want a custom size that does not surpass A5, it is possible. Contact me before placing your order.

 

I’d like a leather color that you don’t have.

Sometimes I have a small amount of stock of colors other than the ones that show in the website. If you are interested in a specific color, contact me to see if I have it.

 

The leather color I want is out of stock. When will you have more?

That depends a lot, as I work with different leather providers and some of them are faster than the others.

Processing orders

How long does it take since I place my order until you ship?

That depends a lot on the type of journal and the particular moment of your order. The average time is 8-10 weeks, 12+ weeks for a Springback journal, as the process takes longer. If you need a journal by a certain date, contact me mentioning the type of journal, the shipping place and the date and I’ll let you know whether it can arrive.

 

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, as long as your order has not been shipped. In the case you asked for a personal customization such as a date or initials, the order can be cancelled as long as the customization has not been already made.

 

I placed my order a week ago, and now I would like to add/change a customization. Can I?

There is usually no problem unless the order has been shipped or the process is too advanced to add/change the modification.

Shipping

How long does shipping take?

In normal times, shipping usually takes 5-7 working days to Europe and 2-3 weeks outside of Europe. Please, expect longer delivery times on items shipped from mid-November to December.

 

Which shipping service do you use?

I usually use the national Spanish post, Correos, so you should receive your order through your national post system (USPS, Royal Mail, La Poste, Canada Post, ...). I reserve the right to use a different system for some countries in some weights.

Correos has faster options. Contact me if you are interested in those.

I can also use DHL, if you prefer.

 

Is there a tracking available?

I always ship with a tracking number.

 

It’s been a lot of days since you shipped and I haven’t received my order. Is it normal?

If it has been over 30 days since I shipped and you haven’t received your order, contact me and I will file a claim with the post office. If the post declares the item as lost, I can either refund you or repeat your order, as you prefer (fortunately, only once in about 8 years an item has been lost, so it’s extremely rare).

I forgot to pick up the package and the post returned it. What are my options?

Sometimes I receive unclaimed packages back. In this case, I can ship again the package if you repay the shipping costs or I can give you a refund of the price of your order, minus the shipping costs and a 15% fee.
